How to work as a Nurse in Oman?

If you intend to work as a registered General Nurse in Oman, then it is mandatory that you pass the OMSB Omani Exam for Nurses. Once you pass this exam, your sponsor or employer will grant you the License for working as a Registered Nurse in Oman.

Oman Nursing exam requirements/eligibility

•  A recognized bachelor's degree in nursing
• 3 years of work experience.
• A valid nursing license from your country of origin.

• Click on “Professional Competence Affairs” 
• Select Occupational Classification Testing Section 
• Click on “Online Services” 
• Visit Pearson VUE website to schedule, reschedule and cancel your exam

How many times can one attempt the OMSB Oman Pearson Vue nursing exam?  

You can attempt 4 times in a year.

Release of Results 

The results of the exam will be printed out and emailed to the candidates via their registered email immediately after exam completion. The pass score for the exam is 60%.

Location of Omani Exam for Nurses (OEN)

•  For those living in Oman, the venue will be at Oman Medical Specialty Board. 
• For those living outside Oman, the examination will be conducted in Pearson VUE test centers in your country.

• If you are Omani national, you will be required to present one valid hard copy of a government-issued photo ID (Civil/National ID, driving license, or passport).
• If you are non-Omani national, you must present a valid passport.

Omani Pearson Vue Exam Cancellation:

Exam cancellation and refund If the exam is cancelled 48 hours prior to the exam date, a full refund will be issued to the same credit card used for booking the exam. The refund takes 10-14 business days. Cancellation less than 48 hours prior to your appointment may result in forfeiting your exam fees.

How to reschedule OMSB Pearson Vue exam?

Rescheduling the exam is free of charge up to 48 hours before the scheduled exam date. You can reschedule your Oman exam booking at least 48 hours prior to the exam date through Pearson VUE website or by calling Pearson VUE customer service helpline.
